Toxic FREE Hair Care Products

Organic Shampoo

Have you ever checked the labels on your shampoo,

conditioner or hair gel?

Unlike makeup and some other personal care products, the above mentioned items, we all use every day – also our children use e.g. shampoo and conditioner. And children are even more sensitive to the exposure of toxins and chemicals.

All chemical exposure to infants and young children should be minimized. The same goes for women of reproductive age and women who are pregnant.

However, in our modern world, it’s not possible to avoid all toxins and chemicals around us, because they are everywhere, in the air, in the food, in the clothes… But since it’s the cumulative exposure to all of these chemicals, that potentially can have a negative health effect, it’s important to try to avoid exposure when you can.

If you’re aware of what’s in the products you’re using

everyday – you can make an informed choice at least about this.

A while ago, I watched a video where SISEL’s founder and CEO, Mr. Tom Mower Sr. presents some scary facts about shampoo…. You should watch it too – it’s only about 8 minutes long, and you can watch it here:

Harmful Shampoo_

Tom Mower Sr. refers i.a. in this video to an article published in the Wall Street Journal, with the name “Shame on Shampoo”. The article says that ingredients used in shampoos had affected male babies so badly, that sperm count, that used to be around 100.000 in the 1950’s, is now down to 5.000 units. That’s a 95% decline.

An explanation to this, according to this article in the Wall Street Journal and Mr. Mower, is that the ingredients commonly used in shampoos are estrogen mimics, meaning that they work like estrogen. On the male baby this suppresses the masculine development, whereas on the female baby they will overdevelop it.

So if you’ve noticed – or heard – that many girls go into puberty at an earlier age nowadays, a contributory factor can be the ingredients in shampoos….. and other skin care products as well. This is really scary.

According to Mr. Mower and Sisel – the most important ingredients you should avoid in shampoo are:

  • Laureth
  • PEG
  • Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES)
  • Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)
  • Sulfates
  • Parabens

If you’d like to have a complete list of ingredients to avoid in your shampoo, cosmetics and other personal care items, you can request it here:

Mr. Mower also says in the video that there’s a study from the University in Helsinki showing that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) could inhibit the growth of hair!

So if you’re wondering why your hair is not as thick or growing

as fast as it used to when you were younger, this may be the

answer: Change your shampoo!
